My background began in 1973 at Title Insurance & Trust in Bakersfield, CA. I learned about documents, their effect on real property and how they are used to create a chain of title. I learned how to read parcel maps, assessors maps, legal descriptions and how to locate properties on the maps. I was taught by an amazing and patient mentor who always satisfied my thirst for further knowledge. From there I began my career in the escrow industry. This was a new and exciting experience where I learned the legal aspects of the contracts & escrow instructions. I learned the process that a buyer or seller experiences during the course of that 30, 45 or 60 day period. I understood why it takes that time frame and am able to help clients understand that as well. At the end of my escrow career I was handling as many as 100 escrows in a one month period and dealing with new situations on each and every file. That experience has proved to be most valuable in dealing with my real estate clients today. During my 22 plus years of real estate I have consistently been a top producing agent. Earning prestigious awards from RE/MAX that include, The RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award, The RE/MAX Platinum Award and the RE/MAX 100% Club Award. I have been within the top 5 producers of our local MLS during the past 20 years and consider my job not just a numbers game but an opportunity help people realize their dreams. I have also been awarded a Certificate for being one of the top 10 Commercial Individuals for all of RE/MAX California & Hawaii Region during the month of January 2007.
After living and working in Tehachapi since 1984, I have come to know and love this area as my true home. I value the peace and quiet of country living and appreciate the things that our different and diverse communities offer. I have imprinted the map of almost all 25 square miles we encompass in my mind. I love to give the 25 cent tour of our area and talk about the history associated with each community.
